Persephone - Upcycled Dress With Antique Lace UK 8
I've been collecting vintage for years, especially slip dresses!! I wanted to repurpose them into something entirely unique and whimsical thus creating a sustainable collection by reducing clothing and textile waste.... and also this will be the only dress in existence. I would never be able to recreate it.
This creation started as a basic vintage slip dress in a gorgeous pale mint colour. I draped panels of soft blue pleated georgette panels and also inserted antique lace remnants. A small piece of corded lace borders the front hem panel and finished with sprinkles of forest green and pale blue fabric flowers.
Measurements: (recommended size UK 8 / US 4)
Bust: approx 44cm
Waist: approx 43cm
Length = approx 130cm with adjustable straps
- Please note, all of the pleated layers have raw edges and therefore has slight fraying.
I would recommend dry clean or a very gentle hand wash.
Please note: Each piece may have slight imperfections which is just part of the overall aesthetic and may not be to everyone's taste such as raw finishes, contrast hand stitching etc..
