Elspeth - Upcycled Vintage Silk Shift Dress UK 8
I've been collecting vintage for years, especially slip dresses!! I wanted to repurpose them into something entirely unique and whimsical thus creating a sustainable collection by reducing clothing and textile waste.
This creation started as a long shift dress with empire bustline from the 1960s in 100% pure silk fabric in a golden mink colour. I wanted to make it super cute and doll-like. So, I applied vintage doilies and lace appliques for texture and shortened it.
This is totally unique, it would be impossible for me to recreate this exact same dress.
Measurements:- Recommended size UK8/US6/SMALL
Bust: approx 43cm
Under Bust: 40.5cm
Waist: approx 36cm
Length = approx 76cm
Dry clean only.
Please note: Each piece may have slight imperfections which is just part of the overall aesthetic and may not be to everyone's taste such as raw finishes, contrast/visible hand stitching etc..
