The Making of… Persephone

'Persephone' was one of my first upcycled creations and set me on my path of upcycled goodness!

I created this dress as I had an abundance of vintage slip dresses that I had been collecting for years wanting to do 'something' with them. At the same time, I also had hundreds of fabric remnants, trims and flowers... they naturally all winded up together on a dress! 

I had all things ethereal, whimsical and romantic in my head while I draped and pinned pieces of antique lace and pleated pieces of chiffon around my tailors' dummy. Finally finishing it off with sprinkles of fabric flowers.
